"Shaping the Future Priorities of European Development Aid - Equipping Donor Country Parliamentarians to lead efforts to meet the MDGs and Global Health"
The National Assembly of Portugal, the Portuguese All-Party Parliamentary Group on Population and Development and its Chair, the Honourable Maria Antonia Almeida Santos, MP, the Portuguese Family Planning Association (APF) and the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (EPF) co-hosted a Conference entitled "Shaping the Future Priorities of European Development Aid - Equipping Donor Country Parliamentarians to lead efforts to meet the MDGs and Global Health". The conference took place in the Senate room of the National Assembly on 30 October 2007, on the occasion of the third Colloquium that the Portuguese All-Party Parliamentary Group on Population and Development regularly organises, to look at the Human rights, health and reproductive health. For the first time, this conference has been expanded to invite governmental representatives, fellow parliamentarians and international experts from other European countries to discuss the development aid priorities on the regional level.
