EPF is a member of the European Alliance Against Malaria, which, is a committed group of civil society organisations from Brussels, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom all working in the field of global health and development. We aim through advocacy to increase funding and improve malaria programmes, demanding rigorous and resolute action to fight malaria as part of global efforts to reduce poverty and meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The Alliance is guided by the MDGs with the main focus on MDG 6.
MDG 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Halt and begin to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS
- Halt and begin to reverse the incidence of malaria and other major diseases
The world is at a potential turning point in the fight against malaria and we are better placed than ever to tackle the disease by scaling up efforts by using existing tools and proven solutions.

the European Alliance Against Malaria launched a website focusing on European efforts in the global fight against malaria. This website provides government officials, members of civil society and media professionals with a wealth of information, materials, best practices and events organized to raise awareness of and policy solutions to this preventable and treatable killer disease.
